I'm a Model!!!

Today I went out to Costa Mesa to do a studio shoot for a clothing company called "Illustrait". My girlfriend modeled for the female clothing, and there was a very fit male model. Well the very last shoot of the day was supposed to be a hoodie. One problem; it was a large, and the model was a medium. While he was swimming in the sweater, everyone jokingly said "Matt, you should model the hoodie!", and well, here you go........

I have to admit that I love a great sun flare shot. It's a technique I've been trying to learn recently, and try to get a much practice as possible. I recently had a photo shoot with some great friends of mine on Valentine's day. There was plenty of light, and for one of the shots, I really focused, no pun intended, on getting a great sun flare shot. He's my best image at what I think is a really fun technique. Let me know what you think, or maybe even any advice on how to make it better.

So tonight at my church, Christ's Church of the Valley, in San Dimas, our college ministry SHIFT put on an art event call Ink. Tonight featured musicians, artists, photographers, and poets. I had some of my pictures on display, here are some of them.

I recently did a shoot with my friends, the Mitchells, for their Christmas cards. I didn't want to put up any of the shots they might use, so here are some of my favorite shots, that show what kind of a couple they are, fun.

Welcome to my first blog. I'm Matt, a photography student/musician from Covina, CA. My passions in life are obviously very artistic. I have only been into photography for about 6 months now, but I have fallen in love and don't plan on looking back. As of right now I am trying to shoot just about everything I can get my hands on, in order to learn what my strengths and weaknesses are, as well as finding out what I enjoy and don't enjoy shooting.
